Title: "Testing Spherically Symmetric Inhomogeneous Pressure Cosmology"
Abstract: The spherically symmetric inhomogeneous pressure Stephani universes are complementary to the spherically symmetric inhomogeneous density Lemaitre-Tolman- Bondi (LTB) models in the sense that unlike in LTB models the energy density is homogeneous but the pressure is not. In the talk, I will discuss the basic properties of the Stephani universes including their totally spacetime inhomogeneous (i.e. non- spherically symmetric) case. Then, I will discuss the observational validity of some exact spherically symmetric Stephani models in the context of supernovae data (for both centrally-placed and off-center observers), baryon acoustic oscillations, CMB shift parameter, and the redshift drift (or Sandage-Loeb) test. The latter is hoped to be reachable by next generation extremely large telescopes as well as by planned space-borne gravitational wave interferometers.
