Mastering the skills needed to create an accurately folded accordion or concertina will open the doors to scores of other book structures. In this class we will focus on paper, grain direction, and effective folding methods—issues also key to sewn books as well. We will create a few basic models that emphasis the versatility of the accordion structure, which one can look at page-by-page or as whole in a long strip.
