The Letterpress Intensive workshop series provides in-depth historical background and experience in the technical nuances of fine typography and letterpress printing. Participants will learn to hand set metal type, proof their stanzas of the poem, and then print their final copies of the broadside on a Vandercook proof press. No experience is necessary and successful completion of this workshop will serve as orientation for future use of the letterpress studio. Sessions will be held on Sundays from 2 to 5pm starting October 5 and run for six weeks. Materials and equipment will be provided without charge by the Workshop. Registration is required and will be limited to only six participants with Dartmouth students receiving priority. Those interested in more information or in signing up should contact Won.K.Chung@dartmouth.edu
