Courtney Whisman

Florencia Abbate was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1976. She holds a doctorate in Literature from the University of Buenos Aires, and currently researches Latin American literature. She has also worked as a journalist for the country’s major newspapers. Abbate has published the novels El grito and Magic resort, the books of poetry Love song, Los transparentes and Puntos de fuga, and the investigation El, ella, ¿Ella? Sobre transexualidad, among others. Her last book is the essay El espesor del presente. Tiempo e historia en las novelas de Juan José Saer.
