James T. Burger will perform on various instruments from Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe, including: bulbul tarang; ektara; harmonica; metallophone; shruti box; and talking drum.

In addition to discussing the backgrounds of these instruments, James will spotlight their unique sounds, playing techniques, and fascinating similarities. 

Focusing on the melody of rhythm, this concert will reflect music’s cross-cultural inspiration and connection to mind, body, and spirit—both of the community and of the individual.
