DEN Six to Start a Startup Bootcamp. Session #4 – Sales & Marketing - Jeff Richards ’94, Managing Partner, GGV Capital

A Managing Partner at GGV Capital in its Silicon Valley office, Jeff joined the firm in 2008 after spending 13 years as an entrepreneur and operating executive in the US and Asia.  Jeff focuses on the Internet, Software and Mobile sectors. Prior to joining GGV, Jeff founded two software companies (R4,acquired by VeriSign, and QuantumShift) and spent three years as an executive at VeriSign.  Jeff graduated from Dartmouth College, where he was a four year letterman on the varsity basketball team.

DEN Six to Start is a modular based co-curriculum program open to all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. A 6-week, startup bootcamp called "Six to Start" is being offered during winter term, once a week for six weeks.

This A-to-Z series will address a wide range of key issues along the startup continuum and provide practical, down-to-earth guidance that will give participants a well-rounded understanding of how to put their ideas into action, including idea creation, formation, financing, team-building, etc. DEN Six to Start is open to all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members.

The Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network (DEN) fosters and promotes entrepreneurship. The DEN includes over 50,000 people and 14 chapter cities, offering courses, workshops, speaker series, startup competitions and networking activities. Founded in 2000, the DEN is a core component the Office of Entrepreneurship & Technology Transfer at Dartmouth.

In the heart of the Arts and Innovation District in Hanover, the DEN Innovation Center and New Venture Incubator is a tangible manifestation of President Hanlon's vision for Dartmouth as a hub of entrepreneurial creativity and energy.
