"Choosing Sustainable Community" is a culminating senior project for an Anthropology independent study by Katie Williamson '15. The main research questions and conclusions were inspired by time she spent at Cobb Hill Cohousing Community, a sustainable community in Hartland, Vermont. This exhibit presents the major themes that constitute sustainable community and asks visitors to engage with how they identify with place, sustainability, labor & governance, and social culture in a community setting as a way to imagine an alternative way of living. Sponsored by the Anthropology Department and the Claire Garber Goodman Fund.
