The Thayer Fitness Challenge, now in its third year, will be hosted on Wednesday, 6/3 at 3:30 in the MacLean Atrium. Teams of students, faculty, and staff will compete to achieve the highest team score and collectively beat our school totals from previous years.

There will be four events: push-ups, sit-ups, a balancing exercise, and walk or run (1/2 mile walk, 1 mile run). Team scores are obtained by averaging the performance in each event by the total number of team members. Team members may be excluded from individual events and the associated averages for legitimate medical reasons.

The winning team will be awarded the Intercontinental Fitness Challenge Belt. The Belt will be put on display at Thayer and the winning team’s name will be added to it. All participants will receive a prize, with additional prizes awarded for:
·        Best Costumes
·        Best Team Name
·        Largest team age range
·        Largest team height rang
·        Best Groupies

Team members must share a common connection with Thayer. For example, the members of a research lab, the members of a particular office, or individuals who share the same job function may form a team. Teams must have a minimum of 5 participants. To register, teams should send their team name and roster to Larissa Pyer (Larissa.Pyer@dartmouth.edu).
