Brain Buzz is an free and open conversation around science, led by Dartmouth graduate students, to which the entire Upper Valley community is invited, and welcome. Snacks and beverages are provided.

Jacob Heiling, a first year PhD candidate in the EEB program, will lead this event through presentation of questions related to mutualisms in nature.

In his thesis work, Heiling hopes to address the following questions: How do plants balance the benefits of pollination against the cost of providing nutritional rewards to pollinators? What roles do pollen secondary compounds play in plant reproduction and plant-pollinator interactions? & How do pollen secondary compounds influence patterns of pollen use by bumble bees?
