Salman Rushdie's novels include The Satanic Verses and the masterwork of magic realism, Midnight's Children,  which won the Booker Prize and the Best of the Booker.  He is also the author of the bestselling memoir Joseph Anton, and the new novel, Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights.  In his talk, "Wonder Tales," Rushdie will examine the source of literature in the fabulist tales of the East, as well as Western folktale, and how that’s relevant to the modern world.
