Dr. Amos is Professor of Community and Family Medicine and Chair of the Department of Biomedical Data Sciences at The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.  His focus has been in the development and application of novel methods for understanding the basis of inherited predisposition to cancer and other complex diseases.  He developed design criteria for the conduct of genetics studies and subsequently applied these for studying families and for population based analysis.
