With the dust settling on the Iowa Caucuses and the New Hampshire Primaries, a panel of American politics faculty members from the Department of Government at Dartmouth College will assess the prospects for the candidacies of the remaining Republican and Democratic contestants for their party nominations.  Will the Caucus and Primary winners gain momentum that will carry them into South Carolina, Nevada, and onto Super Tuesday—the “SEC Primary” on March 1?  Will those candidates who suffered defeats in Iowa and New Hampshire be able to rebound over the next several weeks?  How quickly will the eventual party nominee emerge in the Republican and Democratic races?

Panelists:
Joseph Bafumi, Associate Professor of Government

Linda Fowler, Professor of Government and Frank J. Reagan Chair in Policy Studies, Emerita

Dean Lacy, Professor and Chair of Government and Director of the Program in Politics and Law
