Abstract: Supernovae and their remnants represent violent endpoints in the evolution of massive stars, or in the case of Ia supernovae, white dwarfs. In this talk, I will discuss results from recent observations of core collapse and Ia supernova remnants, and how these results allow us to infer properties of the progenitor system. I will then present results from a theoretical study which directly relates bulk observable properties of supernova remnants to progenitor models. A framework for modeling the end-to-end evolution of a massive star, from its birth to millennia after its death will be presented.
