Discussion follows with Globe reporters Sacha Pfeiffer and Michael Rezendes

In 2001 a Boston Globe investigative team (Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams) began examining reports of sexual misconduct by local Catholic priests. One year later, these “Spotlight” journalists would print their findings and change the world. Writer-director Tom McCarthy’s (The Visitor) script deftly interweaves humor and pathos in a story both universal and personal, the ensemble performances are spot-on and the result is an Oscar win for Best Picture of the year. D: Tom McCarthy, US, 2015, 126m

Spotlight is a gripping detective story and a superlative newsroom drama.”  New York Times
