Buoyantly crafted by filmmaker Louise Osmond, this life-affirming true story blends the thrill of racing with candid, amusing commentary from the underdog commoners who dared to challenge the racing elite. In early 2000, a barmaid in a former Welsh mining village hatched a crazy plan to take on the “sport of kings” and breed a racehorse. Chipping in 10 pounds a week, a plucky band of locals raised their foal, named “Dream Alliance,” to take on the finest thoroughbreds in the land. D: Louise Osmond, UK, 2016, 85m
