Shannon Francis will be speaking on permaculture and Traditional Ecological Knowledge as holistic systems for wellbeing and environmental stewardship.

Shannon Francis is Hopi/Dineh from the Southwest homelands of Arizona and New Mexico. She is a certified Permaculture Design Instructor but focusing more on Indigenous Permaculture, the weaving of Traditional Ecological Knowledge with innovative science. She is one of the few female indigenous permaculturists in the Rocky Mountain and Southwestern regions. She strives to share her passion and commitment to educate and instill care taking of community and land stewardship through Indigenous values and principles.
