Letter from Robert Oppenheimer, Princeton University, to Robert Huke, Dartmouth College, 21 April 1959
Dear Dr. Rieser:
Thank you for your generous letter, for which I am very grateful. I was not overworked, and not tired, perhaps because of your warm welcome; and had a fast trip home.
Derek Price is unlikely to accept the position at Yale. He has a number of other irons in the fire, and I do not know whether a negotiation with Dartmouth would help or complicate his future, but since I promised to tell you what was up, this is it.
I too hope that we shall see each other before long.
With warm good wishes,
Robert Oppenheimer
