Alan: "The College was trying to get rid of the veterans. The whole place [was] bulging at the seams ever since 1943 and starting in 1945 when the veterans began to come back from the war. I lived in what had been always a 'double' but there were the three of us and we lived that way for a long time. Sachem Village and Wigwam Circle … were [also] just packed with people.”
