OIR serves as the point of contact for external agencies requesting Dartmouth data in non-aggregate form. OIR works with the various responsible departments at Dartmouth to determine if provision of the data requested is appropriate.
Reporting
IPEDS - Integrated PostSecondary Education Data System (http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/)
IPEDS is a system of surveys designed to collect data from all primary providers of postsecondary education. IPEDS is a single, comprehensive system designed to encompass all institutions and educational organizations whose primary purpose is to provide postsecondary education. The IPEDS system is built around a series of interrelated surveys to collect institution-level data in such areas as enrollments, program completions, faculty, staff, and finances.

Guidebooks
OIR is the primary responding office for most of the surveys and guidebooks that request Dartmouth Data. OIR completes the surveys/guidebooks using existing reports, or works with the responsible department to respond to the request. Examples of the surveys and guidebooks include:
