Carnegie Classification
The Carnegie Classification is a framework used to describe U.S. Higher education institutions. The Classifications include Title IV eligible, degree-granting colleges and universities in the United States represented in the National Center for Education Statistics IPEDS system. In particular, the Basic Classification utilizes a methodology examining the Level of Research Activity.
