2024 Campaign Events

Power of Community Event

Tuesday, November 19 from 11:30a - 1p
Grand Ballroom, Hanover Inn

Over 100 employees attended this wonderful event! They:

  • Connected with over 15 local nonprofit agencies
  • Learned more about how to get involved in the Granite United Way campaign and what local volunteer opportunities are available
  • Packed 50 winter kits, made a variety of beautiful ornaments, and wrote out a large stack of cards for community members! 
  • Used the knitting machines from Dartmouth's Cable Makerspace to knit a hat for a community member in need
  • Visited with Therapy Dog, Baxter
  • Entered raffle drawings for lots of great prizes including a Dartmouth Skiway Season Pass, an iPad from the Computer Store, Dartmouth hockey tickets, and a local basket of goodies (all graciously donated by our partners)!
  • Participated in our Warm Essentials Donation Drive -- 3 huge bags filled with hats, mittens, gloves, and socks were gathered and donated to local agencies!
  • Enjoyed free chili (meat and vegetarian options) and cider

One dollar from each ticket purchased to this game was donated to Granite United Way - a total of $1,170!

Several individuals were honored during the game for having a strong committment to our community including:

  • Amy Bardos, Human Resources, Timken Aerospace
