One year after being appointed Dartmouth's director of sustainability, alumna Rosi Kerr helped the college receive an A- rating from the Sustainable Endowments Institute.
LOOKING FORWARDDartmouth has decreased trash and increased recycling, but Kerr's plans don't stop there. She aims to reduce Dartmouth's greenhouse gas emissions by 30 percent before 2050 and inspire future sustainability leaders—with help from the college's new sustainability minor and Green Community Fund.
IN HER OWN WORDS"As a Dartmouth alum, I know that the students are action-oriented," Kerr says of her role. "Sustainability is an opportunity to take what you have learned in the classroom and apply it to real world challenges." |
