Graduate and Professional School students should contact their Registrar’s Office.
Chosen name and identity for all Dartmouth students:
Dartmouth recognizes that some students wish to identify themselves by a Name other than their Legal Name. For this reason, Dartmouth enables students to use a “Chosen name” where possible in the course of their Dartmouth education.
See the Dartmouth Chosen Name and Identity site for more information on Chosen name. Active, enrolled students with access to DartHub may elect a Chosen name. Entering trans students may contact the Registrar's Office during pre-arrival. Graduated and inactive students may contact the Office of Alumni Affairs about name changes in the Alumni system.
Employees:
Dartmouth staff and faculty may elect a preferred professional name by accessing Employee Self Service and updating the preferred first, middle or last names on the Personal Information form.
For more information, contact Human Resources.
