Distributive, World Culture, Language Requirement Codes

The following codes are used on the Timetable of Class Meetings to designate which distributive, world culture, or language requirement (for the class of 2026 and later) categories the course has been approved to fulfill. Additional information on General Education requirements and the Language requirement may be found in the ORC/Catalog.

World Culture (WC)

• W – Western Culture
• NW – Non-Western Culture
• CI – Culture and Identity

Distributives (Dist)

• ART - Arts
• LIT - Literature
• TMV – Systems and Traditions of Thought, Meaning, and Value
• INT – International or Comparative Study
• SOC – Social Analysis
• QDS – Quantitative and Deductive Science
• SCI – Natural and Physical Science (without laboratory component)
• SLA – Natural and Physical Science (with laboratory component)
• TAS – Technology or Applied Science (without laboratory component)
• TLA – Technology or Applied Science (with laboratory component)

• LADV – Advanced Language Course
• LACC – Accelerated Language Course
• LRP – Language Requirement for Proficient Speakers Course
