Media Registration
Complimentary registration and press passes are available for credentialed working press only (i.e. press who are actively writing or broadcasting for publication), who register to attend the summit in advance. Press who meet the media registration criteria will be accredited as space permits. NOTE: At this time, no onsite registration is planned for this event.
Press are encouraged to complete the registration process early:
- Please complete the Media Registration Form below and then Submit Your Press Credentials, as described below.
- Applications for media accreditation close on July 9, 2014.
You will be notified via email by Dartmouth's Office of Public Affairs when your request has been reviewed and approved. Press attendees are responsible for booking their own accommodations.
Eligibility: Submit Your Press Credentials
You will be asked to submit the following press credentials after you submit your media registration form below. You will receive an email from "Media.Summit.on.Sexual.Assault@Dartmouth.edu" confirming your request for credentialing upon which you should click "reply" and submit the following:
- Photocopy of your official press credentials and/or a business card by the respective media outlet
- Letter of assignment from your editor, producer, or news director on the letterhead of the news organization being represented
- A copy of a bylined article or link to a broadcast segment that was published in the past 12 months
Dartmouth reserves the right to refuse registrations to the press if the requirements outlined above are not fulfilled. In general, the summit will consider accreditation of up to two qualified reporters per media organization. Additional access may be made available for crews supporting credentialed media, if space permits.
Schedule: Sessions Open to Accredited Press
Accredited press may attend the plenary sessions, which are open to the public. (Please see the schedule for the list of plenary sessions). Due to the sensitivity and confidential nature of the topics to be discussed, press are not permitted to attend the Working Group sessions on July 16 and 17.
Press Interviews, Photography, and Video Recording
Recorded or live press interviews are permitted with prior authorization from the Office of Public Affairs.
Unauthorized photography and video recording is not permitted at this event.
On-Site Media Arrangements
During the summit, pre-registered press are required to check-in and pick up their press badges at the main check-in area for registrants. Please refer to the schedule for more details, which will be updated as logistics are confirmed.
