Mechling was the first woman to graduate with a doctoral degree from the Thayer School of Engineering, earning her PhD in numerical modeling of biomedical systems.
LEADING THE WAYSince graduating from Dartmouth, Mechling has been working with the US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory as a research engineer in the area of decision analysis and stability operations.
