Carol Muller ’77

Carol Muller is a former dean at the Thayer School of Engineering and currently serves as a consulting associate professor of mechanical engineering at Stanford University.

MAKING A MARK

Muller co-founded the Women in Science Project at Dartmouth, then founded MentorNet, a non-profit global mentoring network to advance diversity in engineering and science. Both of these initiatives received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

"Her passion to see women succeed in science instilled in me a belief that I could and would succeed," says former student Adrienne Parker. "She consistently listened to and validated my concerns about my decision to major in the sciences."
