INCORRECT.  Dartmouth does not list class schedule as Directory information therefore names of instructors, classes, grades, etc. are FERPA protected and may not be released without permission of the former student.

The student's major and minor *are* directory information, however, and FERPA, as a records law, does not prohibit conversations with individuals who may have known him/her.  Therefore it is important to work with the Dartmouth Office of Communications to stay within the boundaries of FERPA while promoting the College.
