An entrepreneur, bank CEO, and outspoken equality advocate, Trevor Burgess has helped foster greater inclusivity on the Dartmouth campus and in the banking industry.
IMPACT ON DARTMOUTHAs an undergraduate, Burgess represented DGALA on the faculty-based Coalition for Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Concerns. When he became president of DGALA in the early 2000s, Burgess lobbied for the inclusion of gender identity in the College's non-discrimination policy and helped set up and fund the first year of the DGALA/DCF Scholarship program.
LEADING THE WAYAs CEO and co-owner of C1 Bank, Burgess has created inclusive company policies and practices which have been held up as models for 21st century business and featured in Bloomberg Magazine's "Out on the Street" and in the book, The G Quotient: Why Gay Executives are Excelling as Leaders. |
