Limited Opportunities
Limited Submission refers to funding opportunities that are announced by a government agency or foundation that limit the number of applicants that can apply from Dartmouth.
Limited Submission opportunities require an internal vetting process through the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and include a deadline for internal review in advance of the sponsor's posted deadline.
Application Process
OSP maintains a calendar of Limited Submission Funding Opportunities with internal and external due dates. Dartmouth Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) and Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) offices routinely distribute Limited Submission opportunities across the campus with the following instructions:
To apply for a Limited Submission, please follow the procedures outlined below:
- Carefully review deadlines, eligibility, and application requirements.
- Coordinate with your Chair or Associate Dean. There may be an internal selection process at the school or department.
- Send the following pre-application materials to limitedfunding@dartmouth.edu by the posted internal deadline:
- Overview/abstract of proposal (one page maximum)
- Total request amount
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Applicants who are selected to apply will be notified usually one week after the internal deadline.
