Single leaf from an Italian martyrology, ca. 1000-1050, written in a fine Ottonian hand with a knotted initial with clubbed terminal endings. The text of the fragment contains part of the life of Saint Palatia. On the verso of the leaf is a built-up capital letter in a distinctive humanistic style. Gift of Mark Lansburgh.

Two leaves, not conjoint, of a missal created probably in Arezzo, Italy, ca. 1100-1150. There are twelve or thirteen lines of text on each leaf with a single-line staff. Neumes are typical of those used in Arezzo at the time. The text is rubricated and there are several large initials. The text is of a special mass for the dead, �si einem credimus,� used for the requiem mass for children and bishops. Gift of Mark Lansburgh.
