Inspiring Leaders

About the Program

Inspiring Leaders is a self-paced certificate program designed for managers and individual contributors. Participants receive a certificate after attending 12 Core Courses and 6 Electives within two years. The time commitment is between 47 to 62 hours. Each workshop will be offered two times a year. Individuals are encouraged to participate in this program to create a professional portfolio and to enhance their potential mobility as a member of a diverse and dynamic workforce. Participants have two years to complete the program. The start date is the first session in the program.

To get started, please send an email to Learning.Development@dartmouth.edu letting us know that you are interested in starting the program. We will then send you a checklist that will list the workshops and help you keep track of workshops you have taken.

Course Completion

As the learner completes each requirement, they build their program portfolio. At the completion of all required courses, the individual emails Learning and Development with their completed checklist.

The Inspiring Leaders certificate program was a wonderful experience, and in my case, something that served as both a fantastic opportunity for professional development, and an introduction to many of my peers.  As my journey began less than 6 months after my hire date (at Tuck), it was so helpful to quickly have this collective of participants as a resource, led superbly by Jennifer and Lisa.  While the content was exceptional, what I remember most is immediately being put at ease as a participant, the result of thoughtful program design and our compassionate instructors who were always up to the task of allowing sessions to “breathe” for everyone’s mutual benefit.  I highly recommend the program, and am very thankful that it was, in many ways, part of my welcoming to the Dartmouth community.

The Inspiring Leaders certificate program was a wonderful opportunity for me to learn how to improve my leadership skills with a very knowledgeable and supportive presenter team. Both Jennifer and Lisa were so kind and helped me work through my intimidation with group conversations by patiently allowing me to develop conversational skills in a safe environment. The small group conversations were a great way for me to get comfortable speaking about the topics we were learning about.
